The pattern only has 2 pieces and is drafted to use the smallest piece of other possible. It is strongly recommended to use a minimum of 8oz Vegetable-tanned leather for the main body of the holster. Unless making a lined holster. | ![]() |
It is best to do any tooling, stamping, or border work before you assemble the holster | ![]() |
It is best to Burnish and or Slick the top edge of the holster body before assembling the holster the two edges are hard to work | ![]() |
Lay the holster body flat with the outside facing down. | ![]() |
fold seam 1a over seam 1b making sure rivet holes align | ![]() |
Use one rivet or Chicago screw in each hole ...Please, don't use pop rivets in | ![]() |
Use one male and one female snap.to attach the loop. Be sure to push the post of the smooth (top) snap from the grain (smooth)side of the leather and the plain snap from the flesh (ruff) side of the leather | ![]() |
Wrap the loop around the center of the body of the holster. | |
Fold top part of the holster back so that the two holes near the top line up with the back of the loop | ![]() |
Push one side end of the loop through each hole and snap the snaps together behind the holster | ![]() |
The snap is used to remove the loop from the holster so that it will fit through the holster slot on a Buscarlo shell belt. holster will also fit a standard shell belt or gunbelt.
